About the job

We are seeking a dedicated and capable clinic manager to oversee the daily operations of our new clinic in Rome.

Running a clinic requires you to wear many hats, so you must have adaptability, excellent decision-making skills, exceptional managerial abilities, superior communication and empathy, as well as the will and commitment to constantly provide excellent patient care.

Outstanding clinic managers are hands-on administrators who proactively address issues and ensure the clinic runs smoothly.

English proficiency is mandatory, as our patients come from all over the world.

Responsibilities of the Clinic Manager

  • Liaising with healthcare professionals
  • Reception and communication with patients at all stages of care
  • Overseeing clinic operations and staff duties
  • Guaranteeing the respect of hygienic norms and the internal regulation
  • Managing the clinic’s budget, billing system, and insurance claims
  • Ordering stock and supplies for the clinic and managing inventory
  • Overseeing the purchasing, maintenance, and repair of clinic equipment
  • Taking care of bureaucratic needs and duties
  • Developing procedures to deliver optimal patient care
  • Managing internal and external communications, and answering queries about the clinic
  • Performing the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff members

Desired Skills and Attitude

Running a clinic requires you to wear many hats, so you must have adaptability and excellent decision-making skills. A clinic manager must have the people skills to interact daily with doctors, nurses, patients, and families. 

Leadership skills are important for properly delegating tasks and motivating a cohesive workforce. Having analytical skills is a must for clinic managers to understand and implement the latest government regulations and company guidelines. 

The clinic manager should be detail-oriented with the organizational skills to keep clinical records and paperwork appropriately filed. 

Customer service skills are also essential for the clinic manager to quickly appease patient problems and create a family-like atmosphere.

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree
  • Experience in managerial roles, not necessarily in healthcare
  • Exceptional organizational skills and time management, keen eye for details
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn how to use new software fast
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for liaising with patients, healthcare providers, and specialists, as well as the public
  • Disposition towards business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Strong results orientation, flexibility, proactivity, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to supervise and motivate staff to perform their duties efficiently, manage stress and create a great working environment.
  • Understanding of the healthcare system and medical terminology
  • Proficiency in managing billing, and working with suppliers to obtain best results
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive, strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory, mother-tongue preferred
  • Advanced Italian is required
