Seeking a creative visual storyteller to join our team as social media producer

DoctorsinItaly is an innovative company accelerated by B4i – Bocconi for innovation. We are on a path to internationalize medicine through technology and education.

We find culturally competent, passionate and caring doctors in Italy and make them accessible to the international community of travelers, expatriates, and digital nomads, lowering the language and cultural barriers to accessing healthcare.

At the same time, doctors who are part of our network share their knowledge with future healthcare professionals through the DoctorsinItaly Fellowship ─ an experiential learning program bringing undergraduate US students to Italy during the summer to learn from Italian doctors.

We are looking for a talented social media producer to tell their stories, developing on-brand video content that captures the value of the experience, inspires, excites, and makes a meaningful impact across editorial platforms, ultimately establishing the Fellowship as an essential milestone in the academic path of medical students all over the world.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creative process from script writing to video production and audio mixing: conceptualize, capture, produce, and edit engaging videos and photos to be shared across multiple platforms
  • Expand DoctorsinItaly’s presence on established social channels (Instagram, Facebook) and emerging platforms (TikTok)
  • Write copy to go with the visual content you create
  • Come up with ideas to tell the brand’s story in an authentic and engaging way
  • Monitor social media accounts and day-to-day social media conversations
  • Collaborate with the on-site coordinating team and group leaders
  • Stay on top of social media best practices and provide proactive recommendations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the creative/media industry, and in the video creative and production process
  • Proven ability to concept, script, produce, and edit compelling and impactful audiovisual content from start to finish
  • Experience using video and photo editing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Storytelling and ability to articulate complex information into a simple and easy to understand manner
  • An awesome portfolio of projects to share!
  • Comfortable managing multiple duties, adapting to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Being a self-starter able to work independently and deliver consistently
  • Ready to work in a startup, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where long hours and weekends can be needed when critical project timelines require it
  • We work with healthcare providers, so attending hospital and surgery settings is part of the job

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Learning & development budget
  • Medical coverage
  • Full-time contract
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible hours
  • Remote available, presence in Rome/Italy required for shooting (June to August)
